25 years and counting...

The intro to this post is going to sound a lot like my first one, but I started writing 2 blogs and didn't end up posting until today.

Hello! I'm going to be writing about my life as a singleite. I've been this way for 25 years and counting, so I figured, what better way to cope with it by blogging about it! Am I bitter about being single? Not on most days. Valentine's day is quickly approaching and for the first time in my life, I'm not dreading it! Maybe it's maturity, maybe it's my students who I've grown to love, or maybe . Maybe my students have distracted me from longing for a "life mate" as my grandparents call it. I've recently told my students I'm excited about Valentine's day because it is the "Day of Love". It's funny for me to hear my kids laugh when I say that. I can honestly say I'm happy with where I am as a single person. I'm finally accepting the fact that I'm single. I'm ready to conquer the world without a man to hold me back! However, if one comes along, I have no problem with him joining in on the fun! I've started to travel. Traveling is a lot of fun. I cannot just sit here and wait for a man to come along. I have to live life. I hear that's when single people tend to find their "life mate". I say life mate because I'm not sure if it's only women reading this and just saying "husband" would be bias. Being single and not looking for someone to spend my life with is NOT going to consume my time right now. I'm going to focus on God, family, friends, and FUN! G.F.F.F. is what it should be called!

I'm editing this blog and publishing it after the commonly dreaded (amongst singleites like myself) VALENTINE'S DAY!!! DUM DUM DUM! It was the first time in my life where I wasn't sad, depressed, needing a drink, et cetera, about being single! I think being a teacher helps me, a lot, in this department. I feel so much love from my students every day, that I can't help but be excited for Valentine's day! Even though Valentine's day is a marketers dream day, I did not object this year!

Anyhoo, I'm going to finish working on other work. Have a nice week.
